Mangaluru, Feb 6: For the advancement of social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development in society Srinivas University, Mangaluru in association with central government, Aayush Mantralaya Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga organising a large-scale public mass yoga practice known as Amrita Yogotsava 75. It will take place on February 15 at 6 am at Srinivas University's Mukka campus as a warm-up to the First International Sanskrit Conference, which will be hosted in Srinivas University Mukka campus. Mysore Sri Vedavyasa Yoga Pratisthan secretary and New Delhi Central Ayush Mantralaya Yoga Certificate Board central committee member, a world-renowned yoga master Dr K Raghavendra R Pai is going guide the Amrita Yogotsava.
Srinivas University honourable chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao has a dream to promote indic culture, and his strong belief is to transform society through education. In that direction, he wants to spread the knowledge of Sanskrit through this conference all over the world. Srinivas University, Mangaluru, is a skill-focused University established in 2013 by Karnataka State Act. To promote social wellness and to bring harmony and balance in human personalities in physical, mental, intellectual, emotional and spiritual levels Srinivas University Mangaluru is organizing a mega Amrita Yogotsava-75 on the eve of preconference activity of International Sanskrit which will be held in Srinivasa University in association with Ministry of AYUSH, government of India under the aegis of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga New Delhi under the direct guidance of internationally reputed Yoga Guru Dr Raghavendra Pai, secretary, of Sri Vedavyasa Yoga Foundation, Mysuru. On Feb.15th at Mukka CampusNearly seven thousand yoga enthusiasts, students and the general public will take part. Yogic Walking, Prana Chitanya Mala Kriya, Himalayan Yogic techniques, Samhita Dhyana, Mind Sound Resonance Technique, Yoga Nidra, Stress Management of Excessive Technique, Nandi Breathing, Deep Relaxation technique will be thought in Amrita Yogotsava.
Gold Medal
All participants will be awarded with a Volunteer Certificate from MDNIYoga New Delhi and an AmritaYoga -75 gold medal and a certificate of participation from Sri Vedavyasa Yoga Foundation and Srinivasa University.

He worked as the director of Yoga for SDM Yoga and Moral Education Project, Dharmasthala. He travelled throughout the country and abroad, and is well known for his teachings on yoga. In the last four decades as a promoter and teacher of yoga, he has successfully conducted more than 4 thousand yoga workshops, camps both in and outside the country. The beneficiaries include about 12 lac of yoga students and more than 50,000 of the general public. He has received some national and international awards like, Yoga Vidyabhushana, Swami Vivekananda Leadership award in Chicago, Yogaguru Russia, Vishwa Konkani Puraskar, He conferred doctorate in Literature from Hampi Kannada University on 'Dasa Sahitya mattu Yoga Darshana Now he is an executive member of Yoga Certification Board, New Delhi and secretary of Sri Vedavyasa Yoga Foundation. Under this he is contributing in the fields of yoga, moral education, yogic cures for psycho physical disease. He is also contemplating bringing out an encyclopedia comprising various aspects of yoga.
Students of Srinivas University, staff of Mangalore, Udupi district, yoga practitioners of various yoga institutes, students of schools and colleges, and the interested public will participate in the yoga festival.
