Bhopal, Jun 8 (BN): Popular resentment against the Centre for lathicharging Baba Ramdev and his supporters at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan conmtuiines has still not died down in the city.
Workers of the Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan and the Parakram Jan Chetna Manch on Tuesday lay down on a bed of nails to protest against the UPA government.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) staged a dharna at Somwara against the Union government while the Madhya Pradesh Teachers’ Association also raised anti-government slogans.
The Bharat Swabhiman Trust also continued its sit-in at the Neelam Park for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday.
TS Bawal of the Trust said they would end the hunger strike on Wednesday but the protest would be continued.
In related news, India Against Corruption volunteers have decided to stage a one-day dharna in support of Anna Hazare at the Neelam Park.
