Baba Ramdev supporters lie on bed of nails to protest against Centre

Bhopal, Jun 8 (BN): Popular resentment against the Centre for lathicharging Baba Ramdev and his supporters at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan conmtuiines has still not died down in the city.

Workers of the Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan and the Parakram Jan Chetna Manch on Tuesday lay down on a bed of nails to protest against the UPA government.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) staged a dharna at Somwara against the Union government while the Madhya Pradesh Teachers’ Association also raised anti-government slogans.

The Bharat Swabhiman Trust also continued its sit-in at the Neelam Park for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday.

TS Bawal of the Trust said they would end the hunger strike on Wednesday but the protest would be continued. 

In related news, India Against Corruption volunteers have decided to stage a one-day dharna in support of Anna Hazare at the Neelam Park.

    This is the height of mockery. Majority in India are secular. A bunch of people having Dharna does not going to change anything. People should know how to bring the Black Money back, its not simple you write a cheque to Swiss Bank and the money will be deposited in Indian treasury. This is a sensitive issue. Government should chalk out a plan and go accordingly. The names should be kept secret the first time. If here after any body does they should be made public.

    I cant stop wondering why people here are so foolish. I havent heard any Baba fighting fro injustice or for rights of poor or conducting fast for justice fro rape victims but instead these babas are trying to get their money back by using the people. Eliminate all these people who predict to be religious from the earth then India will get developed. People dont mind spending behind these baba but they do mind fighting for justice. Foolishness is grabbing people here towards itself!The tragedy is these people have no other work! i think they should be put somewhere in gulf countries to work where there is no time to think about own family
