Dubai, Jun 8: Dubai One is celebrating its 100th episode by hosting a cooking challenge to find the UAE’s next amateur chef.

Studio One has teamed up with Hotel Mövenpick’s head chef Sameer Miglani to organise a cook-off between the region's budding chefs.

The best of the bunch were asked to show their culinary skills at the live cooking auditions at Bur Dubai’s Mövenpick. Two finalists were chosen for a cook-off at the Studio One kitchen. The winner of the competition will be Sameer’s intern as well as the next regular chef cooking in Studio One’s kitchen on air.

Mariam Mohiudeen (nee Celine D'Mello) from Mangalore made it to the Magnificent 7 from more than 1000 entries and has been going through various grilling rounds.

Mariam who is a passionate cook with a wide range of expertise in food preparation and presentation is planning to release her first cookbook "From Mariam's Kitchen" shortly.
