Mangaluru, Feb 7: The department of Computer Science, Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, a constituent college of Yenepoya (Deemed to be university) Mangalore collaborates with RDL Pvt Ltd for establishing a ‘Internet of Things’ – ‘Centre of Excellence’ with incubation facilities.
The University is accredited by NAAC with 'A+' and offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctor of Philosophy programmes in promising areas like IOT (Internet of Things), AI and ML, Cyber Security, Robotics and Data Science. University have adopted Outcome Based Education (OBE) and Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), which gives the desired outcome and defined goal with the flexibility of multiple exit options and credit transfers as per the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) of NEP 2020.
In this regard an Memorandum Of Understanding was signed between Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Deralakatte and RDL Technologies Pvt Ltd. RDL Technologies is a company involved in engineering software and hardware systems. RDL make IoT products and software solutions, leveraging Industrial AI and ML and IoT to Drive end-to-end Digital Transformation in making a move towards intelligent business Transformation.
The IoT Center of Excellence is expected to strengthen teaching, research and development in the broad research areas of AI, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Technology. The students of Compute science department will be benefited in terms of training, projects, collaborative Research and Developmental activities.
Dr Gangadhar Somayaji K S Registrar Yenepoya (Deemed to be university) and Raghavendra Shettty CEO RDL Pvt Ltd signed and exchanged the agreement. Professor Arun Bhagwath, Narayan Sukumar, Dr Rathanakar Shetty and Dr Mohammed Zaheer witnessed the MOU.
