Kochi, Jun 8 (PTI) In a major security breach, a 30-year-old man trespassed into the air-side of Kochi International Airport here by jumping the compound wall in the wee hours today.
He escaped to city-side of the airport when CISF security personnel tried to nab him. However, he was taken into custody after a thorough combing, police said.
The man, identified as Vipin, was handed over to police who admitted him to Aluva District Hospital, as he fractured his hand and suffered minor injuries after jumping over the perimeter wall.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Rahul K Nair tried to question Vipin at the hospital, however, was unable to do so since the intruder versed only in Bengali, police said.
Efforts were on to seek the help of Bengali labours here to retrieve information from him, police said.
