PM Modi wears jacket made of material recycled from plastic bottles

New Delhi, Feb 8 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wore a blue sleeveless jacket made of material recycled from plastic bottles.

The Prime Minister was spotted wearing the jacket in the Parlaiment in the morning. The jacket was presented to the Prime Minister by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) during India Energy Week in Bengaluru on Monday.

The IOCL will recycle 100 million PET bottles annually to make fabric, in a push to decarbonise the economy.

The process of making fabric from discarded bottles involves washing, drying, and crushing of collected PET bottles into small chips.

In the Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman provided an outlay of Rs 35,000 crore to achieve energy transition and net zero objectives and listed green growth among seven priorities of the government.

He came to the parliament only for the purpose of displaying this new gift jacket and not for initiating JPC on Adani issue. He is only fit for modelling with different costumes, theatrics and one way fake Bhashans in monologues. Tomorrow he will not attend parliamentary session however important it is unless there is another modelling show to fool and divert people’s attention from core national issues. It's one day show. I bet you would never see him wearing it again. Do you think the man whose suit cost Rs.4.31 crore, which entered a Guinness Book Record, would wear such cheap jacket other than on the occasion of making drama? ये तो सूट-बूट की सरकार है सर .
