Bantwal, Feb 11: “We should develop the mentality of living with love and trust and looking at others in equality. Tournaments such as Kabaddi are conducive to it,” said Karavali Education Group of Institutes founder S Ganesh Rao.

He was speaking after inaugurating at Ira school grounds the first day of two-day national level A grade Kabaddi tournament as part of 25th anniversary of Bharath Friends Club, Ira.

“It is commendable that Bharath Friends club is identified across the coast by means of Kabaddi tournament and indulged in the progress of the society during the last 25 years,” he said.

Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple treasurer Padmaraj R said that sports tournaments help us to live in society in harmony. “Bharath Friends club is known in this respect during the last 25 years,” he said.

Advocate Jayaprakash Rai Sullia, Billavara Mahamandala vice president Suryakanth, Ira gram panchayat president Agnes D’ Souza, entrepreneur Radhakrishna Rai Umia, Bantwal taluk panchayat former president Chandrahas R Karkera, Ira school headmistress Shonita, P M Kodange, Vamana Poojary Talittabettu, Bharath Friends club president Lathesh Kalladi, silver jubilee committee president Rajashekar Rai and others were present.
