Singapore Airlines to Operate Daily Flights from Aug 1


Kolkata, June 9 (PTI) Singapore Airlines will operate daily flights to Singapore from Kolkata from August one, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said here today.

The airlines at present operates four flights a week.

The chief minister told reporters of the Singapore Airlines' decision after its CEO Marvin Tan and general manager G M Toh met her at the Writers' Buildings.

Banerjee said she would be personally present on the first day.

Marvin Tan said that the fare for the single journey had been slashed from Rs 20,000-22,000 to Rs 15,000.
