Mangaluru, Feb 13: With the end of the school year in sight, Presidency comes alive with activity, a crescendo of culminating events celebrating our student’s childhood. Every year, learners here attain different milestones and become more confident and expressive by the end of the year.
As a culminating activity, Presidency School, Mangaluru organized a Theme culmination Day 'Aura' celebrating childhood 2023 for the Kindergartners to Grade 2 on Saturday, February 11, a day on which learners showcased their understanding about different concepts learnt to their parents through live presentations.
Lugina Miranda, director You Matter Counselling & Training Centre Mangaluru was the chief guest of the evening. The symbolic lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Lugina Miranda, management co-ordinator Javed Lathif, the principal- Shaila Saldanha, admin manager- Prathibha Chetan, CODs Ayesha Ilham and Suman Shetty took on an added significance as did the invocation that followed.
Lugina Miranda in her speech emphasized that Presidency not only offers the best of academics, but also encourages an overall development of the children. She concluded by saying, Presidency is a second home for children, nurtured by loving and caring teachers.
The kindergartners steered the event by their outstanding performances displaying their oratory skills. The students of grade 1 & 2 set the stage ablaze by with drama and their dance performances. The audience were happy to see their little ones presenting with confidence and poise. The facilitators were also proud to see the learners grow and express their ideas beautifully.
Diana Maxie Dlima, parent of Danica studying in K1 in her speech articulated heartfelt gratitude for all the learning received through the years and applauded the students’ efforts. Marveling at their growth she expressed her gladness in the talents of the little once and blessed them to be joyful lifelong learners.
The enthusiasm and excitement in learners to showcase their learning to their parents was just amazing. The programme culminated with vote of thanks.
