2G: Kanimozhi Moves Supreme Court Seeking Bail

New Delhi, Jun 10 (PTI) : DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, accused in the 2G spectrum case, today moved the Supreme Court seeking bail.

Kanimozhi, the 43-year-old daughter of DMK chief M Karunanidhi, and Kumar have challenged the Delhi High Court verdict rejecting their bail.

"We have filed a Special Leave Petition on behalf of both Kanimozhi and Kumar challenging the High Court order," senior advocate V.G. Pargasm said.

The High Court had on June 8 dismissed the bail pleas of Kanimozhi and Kumar, saying they have strong political connections and the possibility of them influencing witnesses cannot be ruled out.

    Jerome Managlore,it could be a FILE PHOTO!Her face appearance now a days are of lifeless and very dull as I notice while taking to Tihar jail by police van.In fact she is a learned women poetess as well.

    Dear Kanimozhi,

    If you remember the words of the Judge said to you when he first heard your case, he had all the sympathy for you being a women, but he had to protect the law and not allow any witness or any issue be tampered, knowing your will power and respected your dignity too. See whats happening in the Middle East, many of the great so called Kings being over thrown by their very own people. I am sorry that Raja and many of you never took that in mind that one day, you all will have to answer someone in this country. You cannot wash your hands that you were unaware of the wealth filling your TV Channel, come on Madam lets be fair. Thank God Amma is back to lend support to UPA 2once your poor Dad withdraws. God has a plan for everyone, least but always remember making money has no end, one has to draw that line.....
