Bantwal: Anida Manadani drama by Udupi Krishna Kalavider bags first prize in Tulu drama competition

Bantwal, Feb 14: Punjalkatte Sri Murughendra Mitra Mandali and Murugendra Vanita Samaja held Udupi and Kasargod level drama competitions in memory of drama artiste Late Sridhar K V and Late Raghuram Shetty at Punjalkatte Bangle ground from February 4 to February 11. Anida Manadani drama by Udupi Krishna Kalavider bagged first prize among them.

Er Barepere by Kalamrita Kalavider team and Ulai Leppuga by Kalashree Bedra team won the second and third prizes.

The prizes were presented in the programme held on February 11.Udupi district second additional judge Dinesh Hegde presided over the programme and handed over the prizes.

Beltangady Best Foundation convener Rakshit Shivaram, entrepreneur Praveen Bangera, Dharmastala grama project's Bantwal project officer Jayananda P, professor Dr Pravin Rai, SEZ officer Yogish Kalasadka, U S Chandrashekar Bhat, Jayachandra Bolmaru, Sudhaker Shenoy Khandiga, Sudhir Shetty, Umesh Poojary Thimaradka, Jayanth Shetty Madantyar, Mohan Shetty Narvaldadka, Pravin Shetty, Pushpalatha Mohan, Asha Dinker Shetty and others were present.

International film award recipient Chandran's film team and judges D S Boloor, B Ramachandra Rao B, Chetan Rai Mani were felicitated. Honorary president Udayakumar Shetty Melmane welcomed. Secretary Manjappa Moolya proposed a vote of thanks. Journalist Ratnadev and Gopal Anchan compered the programme. Thelike Banji Nilike, a comedy show was presented later.
