Rahul replies to breach of privilege notice over remarks on PM Modi

New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has sent his reply to the breach of privilege notice against him over his February 7 remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Lok Sabha secretariat, sources said on Thursday.

According to sources, Gandhi replied to the notice on Wednesday.

He replied on the privilege motion by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi over his speech where he spoke regarding the Hindenburg research report on the Adani group.

As per party sources, Gandhi cited various laws to justify his remarks.

The content of the reply has been kept confidential, however, certain Congress leaders said that Gandhi had responded to all the allegations levelled against him on the basis of facts and precedents.

Joshi had written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stating that Rahul Gandhi misled the House by making allegations without any evidence.

Slowly but steadily this episode is going to result in the mockery of RaGa as usual. Hindenberg a '5 member office' will be trashed to pulp in a legal suit filed by one of the top US legal set ups that has been hired by Adani. Congress will have then to find another issue for the 2024 polls. Or perhaps another Yatra to relaunch .

Mohan,, Yes. There is no need for a PM of the country to conduct a press conference, he has his office bearers who do that . Meanwhile there are numerous videos dedicated on RaGa on youtube. The' Rahul with Jackie ' takes the cake for his 'Economics'. Interview with Arnab talks about core Economics as well. No wonder he had to flee from Amethi for non performance and contest from Wayanad in a 'safe ' constituency. Smriti Irani is again challenging him? But he and his chelas decide to ignore,,, LOL.

Adanis were challenged by Hindenburg to file a suit in US and has promised to release more incriminating documents there exposing the Scams of them. At present Adanis have just consulted the law firm and with overwhelming evidence against the group they might decline to take up the case. Secondly the Adanis have contacted US Auditors who had been penalized several times for fake audit reports. Adanis are losing ground and our PM has tarnished his image.
