Kundapur: New chariot of Mookambika temple inaugurated

Kundapur, Feb 16: The newly constructed chariot for historic Mookambika temple was set in motion in the presence of a large number of devotees and the dignitaries on Thursday, February 16 afternoon. Temple priests Dr Ramachandra Adiga and Govinda Adiga performed the rituals.

Temple management committee president Keradi Chandrashekar Shetty, MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, former MLA K Gopala Poojary, additional DC Veena B N, chariot donor Sunil R Shetty, Basrur temple trustee B Appanna Hegde, Mandarthi temple trustee Dhananjay Shetty, former zilla panchayat member Taggarse Babu Shetty, chariot sculpture K Lakshminarayana Acharya, K L Rajagopal Acharya, management committee members Ganesh Kini Belve, Gopalkrishna Nada, Sandhya, Rathna Ramesh Kunder, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, Jayananda Kobalikar, K P Shekar and Kollur gram panchayat president Shivarama Krishna Bhat were present.

A hall programme was held later. Rakshita Ganya Shree rendered an invocation. Management committee member Jayananda Hobalikar welcomed. Dr Atulkumar Shetty gave an introduction.
