'Will destroy the country': Nitish slams those calling for a Hindu nation

Patna, Feb 17 (IANS): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday slammed those leaders who are calling to make India a Hindu nation.

"Those who are advocating for a Hindu nation will destroy the country. We have a number of religions in the country and it is not possible to make this country a Hindu nation. It is a country where Mahatma Gandhi explained the same thing and he was killed. We are following in his footprints," he told media persons here.

"If anyone is saying it, we need not listen to them. There is no meaning of Hindu nation," he added.

Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary were also present at the media interaction and supported Nitish Kumar on the issue.

The issue arose after self-styled god man Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham advocated it. He was supported by many leaders like UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Vijay Kumar Sinha and others.

    As secularism is the main pillar of democracy then who is destroying the democracy as these same Hindu fanatics are accusing George Soros for destroying our democracy for he just asked few questions about fraud in stocks trading. Is minority bashing democracy??.?. Is not holding open press conference democracy???..Is not following parliamentary procedure for passing legislative ruling democracy???……Is flouting the constitutional oath democracy???.?.. India will lose heavily doing international business and business houses as FDI and MNcs investing in India has declined considerably and continuing for unfavourable and unstable business environment. Now no need for opposition to unite to defeat BJP in elections. The whole world is uniting together to throw out anti democratic Hitler govt in india.

    In Mangalore there is too much interference with religion which is very dangerous. It is all such elements will ruin the country. There will be too much clash in 5years time if such issues continue and the results will be devastating. Hope peace prevails and all bloodshed end in our land.
