Bantwal, Feb 17: “Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced an excellent budget according to the aspirations of prime minister Narendra Modi,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik in appreciation.
“Increasing the amount of loan till Rs 5 lacs through the cooperative banks at the rate of zero percent interest will help farmers. Insurance to 56 lacs small and small families of the farmers indicates the concern of the government towards the farmers,” he said.
“Free bus passes to female students, assistance of Rs 500 to female workers, shelter to 10,000 fishermen without sites, diesel to fisheries boats are excellent points of the budget. An amount of Rs 378 crore worth works for the second stage of Paschimavahini project will also help the coastal region,” Naik said.
