Mumbai: Konkani Sabha Mulund holds ‘Konkani Dabazo’ programme

Mumbai, Feb 20: Konkani Sabha Mulund held ‘Konkani Dabazo’ programme at Zaverben Popatlal auditorium, Ghatkoper east on Sunday, February 19.

Fr Vinod Mascarenhas, director of Daya Special children’s school, Belthangady conferred Konkan star title to Mangaluru’s well known singer Velita Cybon Lobo, felicitated and congratulated her.

In the programme held under the leadership of Konkani Sabha Mulund president Leo Fernandes Jerimeri, Bollywood director Harry Fernandes Barkur, Divo weekly newspaper editor Lawrence Coelho, Secular citizen weekly publisher Suzana Coelho, Konkani Charitable trust vice president Walter D’Souza Jerimeri were present as the guests of honour.

Konkani Sabha vice president Felix Barnes Barkur, treasurer Gilbert Furtado, joint secretary Fidelis Fernandes, joint treasurer Francis D’ Souza were on the dais.

Sabha executive committee members Henry D’ Souza, Pascal Fernandes, Julia Chen, Simon Gomes, Richard Louis, Benedicta D’ Souza, Ruzai Fernandes, Melwin Fernandes, Konkani Charitable trust treasurer Prithesh Castelino, joint secretary Vincent Castelino and others were present.

Velita Lobo and team presented a musical programme and Bindas Pernal team performed an entertainment programme. Levin Fernandes Jerimeri, Manuel Fernandes, Preetham Machado, Sheldon Veigas, Sylvia Fernandes, Andria Suares Marol, Abigail and others conducted Konkani musical programme. Sandeep David Roche provided music.

Leo Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Sabha office bearers felicitated the guests. The president honoured the artists. Cyril Castelino compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
