Mangaluru: Mathrbhasha Diwas celebrated in Carmel School

Mangaluru, Feb 21: Mathrbhasha Diwas was celebrated on February 21 in Carmel School with great grandeur and enthusiasm.

The students of grade 4C and 5A hosted the programme with great spirit. The programme commenced with a prayer service followed by the welcome dance.

The significance of the day was highlighted by Aleeza and Yashvi. The students displayed a short skit emphasising ‘Mother tongue - a true identity and pride of an individual’.

A spectacular dance by the students, with the theme 'Language without borders' brought in the vibes of pride and respect among the audience.

Bharathi, the chief guest of the programme highlighted the importance of mother tongue and asked the students to be proud of it. She also gave a call to the students to respect various languages spoken by the people around all in the diverse nation. Fathima Mehvish of class 4C welcomed the gathering.

Aisha Ifra, Misha, Fathima Mehvish, Aleena Faraz compered the programme and Ayesha Nuhma proposed the vote of thanks.
