Mumbai: MP Gopal C Shetty selected for ‘Sansad Ratna Award – 2023’

Mumbai, Feb 21: Gopal C Shetty, the only Tulu Kannadiga BJP MP elected from Mumbai north Loksabha Borivli constituency for the second time in 2019 has been selected for ‘Sansad Ratna Award – 2023’.

The nomination is based on the cumulative performance in questions, private members bills and initiated debates of the members, said minister of state for parliamentary affairs Arjun Ram Meghawal.

The Sansad Ratna awards were instituted at the suggestion of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to honour top performing parliamentarians. Gopal Shetty has 100% attendance in Sansad except the period of Covid.

Gopal C Shetty has been congratulated by Gopal C Shetty Tulu Kannadigara Abhimani Balaga leader, north Mumbai district BJP vice president Ermal Harish Shetty, Railway Yatri Sangha Borivli Mumbai west zone honorary president Dr Shanker Shetty Virar, Mumbai BJP south India unit chief secretary Vijaya S Shetty Panakaje, Bantara Sangha Mumbai president Chandrahasa K Shetty, Billavara Association Mumbai president Harish G Ameen, Maharashtra chamber of commerce, Industries and agriculture and Poisar Gymkhana vice president Karunaker S Shetty and hundreds of dignitaries.
