Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School observes World Thinking day

Mangaluru, Feb 24: February 22 is celebrated as World Thinking Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Robert Stephenson Baden Powel, the founder of worldwide scout and guide movement.

Lourdes Central School observed the World Thinking day on February 22 in the school lobby. On this day, they think about their sisters and brothers in all countries of the world and the meaning of guiding and its global impact.

 

The celebration began with the universal prayer followed by the scout and guide’s prayer song and the intentions. Thought for the day was read by Shubham of class 8. Aadhya of class 6 briefed about the significance of the day. She highlighted the theme for World Thinking Day as ‘Our World, Our Thriving Future, The Environment and Global Poverty’.

The dazzling actors of LCS presented a value – based skit, written by Shravya M Guru and Swasthi S Shetty of class 5. Fr principal, Robert D’Souza, LCS, appreciated the students for their good work. Compering of the programme was done by Pranavee Prabhu and Daiwik Bhandary of class 7.
