Instead of protesting on streets, prove Sisodia's innocence in court: Manoj Tiwari

New Delhi, Feb 27 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari has criticised the protests held by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, saying that those who are accused of corruption and loot do not protest but prove their innocence in the court.

Taking a jibe at the AAP leaders, he said: "It is being reiterated that the Education Minister has been arrested, is it shameful to call him the liquor minister?"

Countering Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's allegations over Sisodia's arrest, the BJP MP said that Kejriwal and Sisodia could cheat humans but not God.

He added that the misery caused to the people of Delhi had become a sin for Sisodia which is why he has been arrested.

Tiwari stated that the Chief Minister is afraid of the scope of the investigation that is likely to increase after the arrest.

Justifying Sisodia's arrest, the BJP MP said that evidence of crime is found no matter how carefully it has been committed when it occurs under God's watch, which is exactly what is happening to Sisodia and Kejriwal.

Who is going to arrest ModAni for selling the nation? Who is going to arrest him for butchering thousands? Hardly any day passes without arresting the opponents. Is it democracy? He has still not arrested his close friend whom he made one of the top 3 richest persons in the world. Forget about arresting him, Modani did not even utter a word about his billionaire friend. Nobody can imagine how he misuses his power. I don't think the honest people from his party would endorse what he does. The whole judiciary system is in his fist.

We don’t trust your caged puppet courts. Let’s have JPC in the parliament and get the facts straight out by face-to -face debate like a man instead of using third party CBI to fire shots from thier shoulders at AAP. Only the coward and guilty hide behind the these agencies. But you chicken out on JPC and open press conferences because you can not face the truth and will be exposed.

That's why people hate politicians .... they donot have the basic knowledge that as per "law innocent until guilty". Therefore it is not Sisodia's duty but of Central Govenment's duty.

This is the level BJP leaders know about our constitution. One must pity not only them, but people who endorse them as well. According to our constitution, it is duty of the state to prove someone guilty, through courts, based on sufficient and irrefutable evidences. Not otherway round. Why? Country has all the resources to prove guilt, as its agencies has all the power to collect necessary evidences. Individual neither has the resources nor ability. Despite agencies haunting many opposition politicians for years now, BJP Govt is unable to prove anyone of guilt in past 8yrs. It largely proves the game is to make people perceive all others except for BJP leaders all corrupt. But, when it comes to court, they are unable to produce anything that is incriminating.
