Udupi: MAHE to host 9th edition of 'Tarang', Kite Festival

Udupi, Mar 3: Volunteer Services Organization (VSO), the social unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education is organizing the 9th Edition of TARANG, an annual kite flying festival at End Point, Manipal on Sunday, March 5.

This year’s Tarang aims to Spread Awareness of Mental Health Issues among students and the public. The theme of the event is 'Say Bye to your Blues. Fly Kites of Happy Hues'. The secondary aim of the event is to give an opportunity for people of all ages of Manipal/Udupi to fly kites together.

Tarang is more than just a kite festival, it is a carnival, an evening of celebration with stalls, games, street plays, music, dance and much more. The entry to the festival is free for all. A kite and a thread roll will cost Rs 60.

Tarang has been an annual event fro the past nine years. Every year it is organized with a theme. Thousands of students, general public participate in this kite festival every year.
