Chennai: High Court Orders CBI Enquiry into Satish Kumar's Death

bThe Madras High Court today ordered a CBI probe into the death of a leading lawyer's son, who was reported missing.

A division bench, comprising justices C Nagappan and P R Shivakumar passed the order on a petition by the boy's father K Sankarra Subbu, an advocate, seeking a CBI probe into his son Sathish Kumar's death as he suspected foul play.

Sathishkumar was reported missing from June 10.

Subsequently, his body was fished out from a lake here.

As per the court's June 14 order, post-mortem was done by a special team, which said the deceased appeared to have died of shock and haemorrhage due to cut injuries on throat.

Sankarra Subbu said he suspected his son had been done to death and that police officials might be involved in the crime.
