Mangaluru: Women’s Day celebrated at Guardian Angel Church, Angelore

Mangaluru, Mar 6: As part of the International Women’s Day, the Catholic Sabha and Sthree Sanghatan of Guardian Angel Church, Angelore, Nagori celebrated Women’s Day on March 5.

Eleven ladies who rendered selfless service to the society in social, educational, spiritual, political, health, sports, agriculture and business areas were felicitated.

Flora Castelino, HOD, Konkani Department, St Aloysius College, Mangalore was the chief guest of the programme. Fr William Menezes, parish priest, Guardian Angel Church presided over the programme. Fr Lawrence Cutinho, assistant parish priest; Paul Rodrigues, vice president of the parish pastoral council, Lolina D’Souza, secretary of the parish pastoral council, Renita Menezes, coordinator of 21 pastoral commissions, Felix Moras, president of Catholic Sabha, Angelore Unit, Sunitha D’Souza, president of Sthree Sanghatan and Renita Vas were present on the dais.

Rajesh Misquith and team sang felicitation song for the women. The members of Sthree Sanghatan entertained the gathering with their dances. Manohar Saldanha and Lolina D’Souza compèred the programme.
