Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School holds session on 'Importance of Sports in Students' Life'

Mangaluru, Mar 8: A very significant session was organised for the students of St Agnes CBSE School on February 25 on the topic ‘Importance of Sports in a student's life’ .

The resource person was Ashwin Kumar Padukone, a professional Table Tennis coach certified by International Table Tennis Federation of India and the founder and chief coach of Padukone Table Tennis Centre for Excellence and a receiver of national award in Table Tennis. He was accompanied by the vice principal Sr Lenita Lobo AC.

The session began with meaningful prayer followed by welcome done by Babita.

The session commenced with great enthusiasm with the resource person interacting the students on why is sports necessary. Ashwin Kumar Padukone gave a brief insight on the importance of sports for mental, physical and social development. He urged the students to choose one sport and continue to practice. He also educated the students on the right way to select any sport. He shared his experience as a sports personality and the challenges he had to face while building his sports career. Some motivational videos were shown to the students along with the life of some famous sports personalities. In the end Ashwin expressed his gratitude for giving him the opportunity to conduct this session.

The session was compered by Devika and the vote of thanks was proposed by Salvia the PE trainers.

The management congratulated the principal and staff for conducting the influential session on sports.
