Lokpal Issue - All-party Meeting July First Week ?

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi

New Delhi, Jun 18: Congress has seriously taken the issue of bringing Prime Minister into the scope of the Lokpal and that the government may call all political party meeting during early July, sources informed Daijiworld.

Top Congress party leaders met on Saturday June 18 to discuss the issue along with Sonia Gandhi. The issue of including PM within Lokpal ambit is getting embroiled in controversy with the passing day and also other political parties brickbats.

Digvijay Singh earlier this week had favoured the inclusion of Prime Minister to come under Lokpal ambit.

The Hazare camp too will voice it favouring inclusion of Prime Minister and the higher judiciary in the proposed Lokpal Bill during meetings of the Joint Committee scheduled on June 20 and 21 to draft
the measure.

Human resoruces and development minister Kapil Sibal said,"Within the government, we feel prima facie, the Prime Minister should not be covered (under the Lokpal). But at the same time we want to make sure that if he steps down from the office, he should not be exonerated from prosecution."

Politicians sans party affiliations,if has good heart and political will then all parties must favor policy of PM under the purview of proposed JANLOKPAL BILL.But,however politicians/PARTIES by tooth and nail scares to favor because of unknown reasons.BJP never supported Anna's movement the way it jumped to support BABA ramdev!!!!???So it is clear political parties are not amused by Anna Hazare's mission including CONGRESSS/UPA/NDA/CPM/CPI/BSP/JD................................................

PM should be covered under the Lokpal Bill as otherwise all the Departments under him will escape scrutiny. Many a times PM has the largest and some of the important Depts under him. He should be answerable while in the office. Once he quits the office he should be as good as any ordinary citizen of the Republic. For that the people do not need advice of Mr. Sibal.
Further the GoMs should stop talking about the Anna Group as extra constitutional as same is the case with Madma Sonia Gandhi who has a group of non elected persons meddling into the affairs of GOI. No important decision is taken by GOI until and unless it has her blessings.

No congressman/woman whether in govt or part has no sense to think anything except looking towards normal foreign lady which is sign of mind slavery in this very camp.
