Mangaluru: Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University holds collage making competition

Mangaluru, Mar 12 (IANS): To enrich students’ experience in pictorial composition, a collage making competition was organized at the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University on Friday, March 10. The theme for the competition was global warming.

Art expression is a one-of-a-kind method of connecting imagination and creativity with the hues and tints of colours and paints. Collage has been one of the most popular art forms and also global warming is a serious issue in the current era.

It is important to create awareness among the students about the social, political and economic consequences that climate change may have on huge parts of the mankind. With this motive on mind collage-making competition was organized for students of BBA aviation studies. The organisers of the event was Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean institute of Aviation Studies and prof Kavyashri, course coordinator, Institute of Aviation Studies. The students actively took part in the competition in large number. The competition was a showcase of art exploding from every piece of collage.

The winners of the event were Akshitha J Kotian (III years BBA Aviation and Logistics Management), Sindhoora PS ( III years BBA Aviation and Logistics Management) and Vibha (I years BBA Aviation Management).

Abhishek Kini (I years BBA Aviation Management) Mithun (I years BBA Aviation Management) and Tanisha (Mithun (I years BBA Aviation Management) secured second place Seema K (II years BBA Aviation Management), Mokshitha Raj (II years BBA Aviation Management) and Shreya Poojary (II years BBA Aviation Management) took third place.

Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, congratulated all the participants and announced the winners of the collage making competition.
