Beltangady, Mar 15: A man, who was loafing around in Mundaje vicinity as he was mentally ill, was give accommodation, food and job by a kind hotel owner. The search for his family members and exact native place is still on.

Abdul Latif, owner of Sangam Hotel at Somanthadka of Mundaje is the Good Samaritan, who helped the orphan man. The man suffers from mental illness and speaks unclear Hindi and says his name is Subbu. He does petty jobs in the hotel. Abdul Latif provides him food, accommodation and salary also.

The man says that he is from a village called Sunjog in Jharkhand. But does not remember why and how he landed in Beltangady. He was given treatment by Dr Ravindranath Prabhu of Mundaje earlier. Later, Dr Muralidhar Irvathraya of Kakkinje Sri Krishna Hospital gave him free treatment and medicines. Local Abdul Azeez is getting him psychological treatment at Mangaluru. Of late there are some changes in the behaviour of the man.

Owner of the hotel, Abdul Latif, locals B M Hamza, Zabeer, Ashraf Ali Kunhi, Narayana Poojary and team of social workers are trying their best to find out his native place and family members. The same social worker team had rejoined Purushottam of Odisha, who was seen at Mundaje 15 years ago, with his family.
