Mangaluru: Malali mosque row resurfaces as VHP holds yagna for 'divine blessings'

Mangaluru, Mar 16 (IANS): The Malali mosque row has surfaced again as Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists on Thursday performed a special 'yagna' seeking divine blessing and intervention for a temple to come up.

The activists performed 'Maha Gana Yaga' or 'Ganapathy Homa' to pray for construction of a temple at the site of the mosque, as per the advice of tantris. When the question was asked whether the temple will be constructed at the site of Malali mosque, tantris (foretellers) had advised that the work needs divine blessings.

As per the advice the VHP activists conducted the 'Maha Gana Yaga' at Ramanjaneya Bhajana Mandir at Malali town. BJP MLA from Mangaluru South Constituency Bharath Shetty was present.

A temple structure was found on April 21, 2022 during the renovation of Malali mosque, stirring a controversy. Following the controversy, the court had ordered the mosque management to stop the work.

    He is not just bjp mla. He is bjp mla "dr" bharat shetty. He is an educated dentist. I am sure there are a lot of highly educated mangalorean voters who support this, even though matter is now subjudice. It is their right to do so.

    The question is how many fanatics are made MP, MLA, MLC, Governor, Ministries by the Muslim communities? How many dog-whistlers are made ministries by the BJP? How many BJP leaders went to jail for provocative communal speeches, instigating violence. A terror accused is made MP by the BJP and Muslim world didn't cry when Osama was killed, in fact KSA stripped his nationality even though his father was a billionaire in Saudi Arabia. When BBC documentary is banned in India, you can understand the fear of the ruling party, stop preaching others while our community is full of fanatics and we make them our leaders. What is the contribution of Nalin Kateel until now apart from his communal speeches? DK is called as Buddivantara Nadu, still we select a rabble-rouser.

I always tell, that despite many people from other communities who hate muslims, still there are a lot of hindu brothers who raise their voice against injustice towards muslims, not bcoz they are muslims, but for the sake of our constitution and true love for the country.
