Moodbidri: Carmel School holds kindergarten Graduation Day

Moodbidri, Mar 17: Kindergarten Graduation Day was celebrated on March 14, as it is an exciting milestone for pre-primary children. It’s the giant step towards a future full of hopes and possibilities. It marks a new beginning that adds new dimensions to their school life and the journey they begin towards knowledge and education. It was indeed a grand and glorious day, where 66 tiny tots dream came true as they were excitedly looking forward to receive their 'Graduation Certificate'.

On the solemn occasion, the smart kids from kindergarten were dressed in their graduation gowns and caps made this event more memorable. They were all beaming with joy and pride, amidst their teachers and parents, who were responsible to earn this graduate status. ‘Convocation Day’ fills the little hearts with mixed feelings of fulfilment and sadness, anxiety and eagerness bid goodbye to the secure life within the kindergarten walls and get ready to explore a new world altogether.

The ‘Kid Graduates’ were escorted into the auditorium in a procession by the principal, Sr Jyothi AC, along with the chief guest Reshma Menezes (accounts administrative assistant – American University of Kuwait). Besides the esteemed guests of honour included Sr Priya Maria AC, the joint secretary, Sr Premal vice principal, Jossy Menezes vice president of PTA, Sr Elena AC, school administrator, Sr Joycelyn AC, principal of Holy Rosary PU college and PTA executive committee members.

The celebration began with a meaningful prayer service led by the LKG kids, followed by welcome address by Sr Jyothi, principal. The talented LKG kids gave a scintillating welcome dance performance. As a part of cultural programme, there was lot of music, dance and skit performed by the LKG students, which received loud applaud from the audience. The students of UKG Aarush Shetty, Myra Mascarenhas, Smayan Shetty and Fathima Shanum shared their views and experiences of the past two years in kindergarten. They congratulated and thanked the management, principal and staff for the guidance and basic education given to them.

The little Carmelites looked graceful with their convocation gowns and caps as they were welcomed by loud applause from the audience to receive their graduation certificates in the presence of their beloved parents. It was indeed a joyous and memorable event for the little ones as they received their convocation certificates from our dignitaries. Thereafter 'Carmel Fest' winners were felicitated with certificates.

Expression of gratitude towards the teachers, parents and staff was shown by the little ones by singing a thanksgiving graduation song, 'Two little words, not good bye'.

The chief guest in her address congratulated the graduates on their ‘Graduation Ceremony.’ She inspired the students with a story on working hard and achieving their goals. She stated, “Children are born with their own personalities, they have their own dreams. Let us be supportive and encouraging rather than being demanding. It is our responsibility to help our children to blossom and grow into dignified human beings."

The chief guest expressed deep gratitude and appreciated for mentoring the little graduates for the sound values being instilled in them. "As our tiny tots are all set to spread their wings and make their first flight, I am sure they will soar higher and nobler heights and make their Alma mater stand tall," she said. 

The formal programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by the graduated Ananya Kini UKG. The entire ceremony was compered by Shaila Pereira.
