Hyderabad, Jun 21: Chaitanya Reddy, husband of Dr Kiran Reddy who was found murdered in her Jubilee Hills residence a couple of days ago, has been arrested in connection with the crime.
Dr Kiran Reddy was the niece of union minister S Jaipal Reddy.
Dr Kiran is said to have slept separately after the couple returned home from a party organized by Kiran's brother on Friday June 17. She was found unconscious in bed the next day.
She was declared brought dead by Hyderabad's Apollo Hospital on Saturday morning.
Kiran's family filed a case against her husband Dr Chaitanya Reddy as it was found out that she was 'smothered' to death.
Kiran was married to Chaitanya five years ago and has a four-year-old daughter.
The autopsy report is awaited and police said that they yet to question Chaitanya and his family members in connection with the case.
