Mangaluru, Mar 19: Hinduism, the religion that recognizes nature as God and offers freedom of thought, must be protected by society as a whole when threatened. This message was conveyed by Vishwa Hindu Parishad provincial working president Prof M B Puranik at a religious meeting following the third annual "Namma Nadige Koragajjana Adikshetrada Kadege" mass prayer event held under the auspices of Vishwa Hindu Parishad to raise awareness among the Hindu community.
Puranik expressed his appreciation for the work done by VHP and urged unity to combat the exclusion and discrimination experienced by certain sections of Hindu society, which has resulted in conversions to other religions. He highlighted the superiority of Sanatana Dharma, where devotees hold more power than God and believe in the divinity of all animals, birds, trees, plants, rivers, and streams. He also urged Hindus to contribute to the lives of others to gain social respect, as opposed to finding happiness in material possessions.
