Bantwal, March 21: “Establishment of quality health centres even in villages are being stressed after Covid-19 pandemic. A medial college is likely in every district as per the aspirations of the prime minister,” said district MP and state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for Punjalkatte Amrutha Community health centre to be constructed by the state health department at Punjalkatte at a cost of Rs 12.44 crores.

“The Ayushman Bhava, Janoushadhi Kendra and hospitals are being upgraded swiftly. CM Bommai government is opening Namma clinics in every village providing oxygen, ventilators and doctors”, he said.

“Rajesh Naik planned the Punjalkatte hospital that is better than the private hospital. The villagers were treated through ICU bus in Bantwal for the first time. The credit for peaceful Bantwal without religious unrest goes to the MLA,” he said.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik and former zilla panchayat vice-president Tungapa Bangera spoke on the occasion.

Various government officials were present. District health officer Dr Kishore Kumar gave an introduction. Prabhaker P M compered the programme.
