Mangaluru: Protesters demand justice in murder of RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga

Mangaluru, March 21: Deshpremi Sanghatanegala Okkoota held a protest rally by foot from Venkataramana temple, Car Street here till the residence of Baliga on Tuesday condemning failure to provide justice regarding the murder of RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga seven years ago.  

Addressing the protesters in front of Venkataramana temple, Dr P V Bhandary  said that the government is impotent. The atrocities against those who fight for justice were increasing because of the neglect by the government, he said.

Professor Narendra Nayak, Somanath Nayak of Nagarika Seva Trust, sisters of Vinayaka Baliga, Harsha Baliga, Anuradha Baliga, former deputy mayor Mohammed Kunjathbail, M Devadas, Vasudeva Uchil, Sunil Bajilakeri, Sunil Kumar Bajal, B K Imthiaz, Manjula Nayak, Prakash Salian, Vahab Kudroli, Sanjana Chalavadi, Nithin Kuthar, Raghu Ekkar, Revanth Kadri, Jerald Towers and others took part in the rally.

DYFI district secretary Santhosh Bajal compered the programme.
