Hyderabad, Jun 22: Union minister Jaipal Reddy's niece Dr Kiran Reddy's husband Dr Chaitanya Reddy was arrested in connection with her murder here on Wednesday June 22.

Under Mysterious circumstances, Kiran was found dead in her house in Jubilee Hills recently.

Forensic reports show marks of applied pressure on her face which could be due to smothering or poisoning.

Sources at the hospital said that there was blood accumulation on the upper portions of the brain which indicates that the death may be due to smothering.

Reports quote sources sayin that kiran might have suffered a minor head injury but that may not exactly be the cause of death as the injury is extremely minor.

Experts said that the victim had stomach congestion which could be due to poisoning. Police suspect that poison may have been mixed in her drink at the party she had attended the night before she was found dead.

Information gathered from questioning eye-witnesses and family members suggests Chaitanya's involvement in his wife's death.

Chaitanya will be produced in the local district court late evening.
