Udupi: 'Ananthothsava' inaugurated at SMVITM, Bantakal

Udupi, Mar 22: Ananthothsava-23, an inter-collegiate techno-cultural fest, was inaugurated at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on March 23. The event was renamed as a tribute to Late Ananthesh Rao, assistant professor, department of mechanical engineering who passed away recently.

Alumnus Rahul V Kotian, managing director, Anikrithi Engineering Pvt Ltd & Pebble Grey Design Studio was the chief guest for the function. While addressing he shared that real learning happens in life once a person steps out into the world after student life and also recalled his memories associated with the college. Nikhil Acharya, another alumnus of the college and senior product designer, Aspire FT, Singapore was the guest of honor. While addressing, he highlighted the importance of adaptability to overcome challenges faced in life and recalled the days spent at SMVITM.

Rathnakumar, secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Math Education Trust, Udupi in his address, recollected contributions of alumni guests and urged the students to become performers like today’s guest.

His holiness Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, in his blessings, advised the students to put the right efforts with enthusiasm to achieve in life.

Maneesh, student of first year AI-ML, presented Swamiji's portrait made from thread and nails.

Professor Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal, welcomed the gathering. Nagaraja Rao, in-charge head, AI-ML & AI-DS, announced the winners of various technical events. Hithashree rendered an invocation. Dr Ganesh Aithal, vice-principal proposed a vote of thanks. Nidhi Patkar and Neola compèred the programme.
