New Delhi, Jun 22: Criticising the UPA government, anti-corruption activist and civil society member Anna Hazare said that the government is not at all interested in fighting corruption, and to prove its innocence, is alleging that civil society is trying to become a parallel government.

"We are not interested in a parallel government, power is not our ambition. We are fighting against corruption, but to delay the Lokpal bill, goverment is talking about 'parallel government' to mislead the people," said Hazare during a press conference which was called a day after the 9th and final meeting between the government representatives and members of civil society.

Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal all spoke out against the government's draft of the Lokpal bill which they say is not enough.

Kiran Bedi said that in the Government's draft of the Lokpal bill, there is no place for the common man. "We are concerned about the common people, the Bill must be in their favour and help them out," she said
