Mangaluru: Eight polling booths changed in Dakshina Kannada district

Mangaluru, Mar 24: Union election commission has approved change of six polling booths of Mangaluru North legislative constituency and two polling booths of Bantwal legislative constituency.

Polling booth numbers 131 to 134 of Junion technical school at Kadri are shifted to Kadri Karnataka Polytechnic college, as the buildings are dilapidated and also lack fundamental infrastructure.

Polling booth no 131 is shifted to west side of KPT main building, while 132 is shifted to left side of central part of the same building. Booth 133 is shifted to right side of central part of main building, while polling booth 134 is shifted to east side of main building of KPT.

Polling booth 208 of Asaruddin Kambla Urdu high school of Sooralpady, is shifted to Mattin Anganwadi centre of Babadagulipadi, as the building is dilapidated and also for the fact that the voters have to walk two to three km to cast their votes.

Polling booth number 215 of Ulaibettu (old building) gram panchayat office is shifted to Anganwadi centre at Permanki Achebailu.

Polling booth number 48 of Tenka Belluru St Michael higher primary school is shifted to Tenka Belluru Dhanupooje Anganwadi centre. Polling booth number 214 of Vittal Padnur community centre at Kodangayi is shifted to Vittal Padnur Anganwadi centre Porlappadi.

These changes were announced by district election officer deputy commissioner Ravikumar M R.
