Lucknow, Jun 23: Another huge embarassment was in store for the ruling UP government, which is already facing severe criticism in the light of the recent incidents of rape, when not only the opposition but even the family members of Y S Sachan, deputy chief medical officer, demanded a CBI probe into his death.

Y S Sachan, who was serving a jail term for the murder of Chief Medical Officer (Family Welfare) B P Singh, was found hanging in the jail's bathroom. UP police declared it to be a case of suicide.

However, there are controversies surrounding the incident, with Congress spokesperson
Digvijay Singh openly calling it a murder and rubbishing claims of suicide. "How can a person get a belt inside the jail?" he questioned. Congress has now urged the UP government to order a CBI enquiry into it.

BJP Spokesperson in Delhi too raised the similar voice and criticised Mayawati govt. BJP also  said that Mayawati govt has no moral right to continue in power. .

Meanwhile, the brother of the deceased has also demanded a CBI probe into the death.

"I want a CBI probe into the murder of my brother, he has been murdered," R K Sachan, elder brother of the Deputy CMO, told the media.

Sources close to daijiworld.com say that there was no note or any weapon found near the suicide spot, but the postmortem report says that six deep injuries were found in Sachan's body, and that the death occured due to excessive bleeding.

But Inspector General V K Gupta has said that according to jail superintendent B S Mukund and doctor V P Tripathi, Sachan was found dead in the toilet of the hospital.

Sachan was named the main accused in the CMO murder case following the arrest of three persons by the STF on June 17.

Singh was shot dead by unidentified persons on the morning of April 2 when he had gone out for a walk.
