Bantwal: Young man arrested for consuming ganja

Bantwal, Mar 26: A man who was publicly intoxicated after consuming ganja has been taken into custody by the Bantwal rural police.

Sub-Inspector Jayashree Prabhakar of the Bantwal Rural Police Station reported that while on patrol last Saturday near the public bus stand in Thumbe, she encountered a man who was behaving in a disruptive manner, causing a disturbance to the public.

Upon questioning, the man was identified as Shoaib Akhtar, a resident of Madaka in Thumbe village of Bantwala Taluk. The police have taken appropriate legal action against the accused.

    Circumstances beyond one's control is the main reason which provokes a person to change. God alone knows what prompted this person to go for drugs. There are/may be so many factors involved which we cannot comprehend ... but surely one cannot fathom the facts and circumstances/toils and turmoils of modern day leading to his present situation. We need to examine our conscience. Today it is his case, tomorrow somebody else. Real life situation knocks at everyone's door. How we analyse, handle and solve the situation is called maturity.
