Riggae, Mar 28: Billava Sangha Kuwait family get-together was held on Friday, March 17 at Andalous Park (Riggae) with Billavas getting together in large numbers.The weather was pleasant and gave an extra boost to the enthusiasm of the members who participated in the games.

Rajesh Kukian, Jyothi Sudhir, Prashanth Poojary and Mithun Vishwanath hosted the entire event. The function commenced with Guru Shloka followed by march past. Opening ceremony dance was performed by the BSK kids, choregraphed by Kavya Prashanth was the main attraction of the event. Lighting the torch was done by sports secretary Sandesh Amin and flag was hoisted by president Sushma Manoj in the presence of all committee members.

President Sushma Manoj in her welcome speech conveyed her best wishes to all the participants. Sports secretary Sandesh Amin in his speech welcomed all the members and urged to actively participate in the sports event.

The picnic had fun elements for each and every age group. The parents of 0 – 2 years age groupkids played musical chair game with their cute babies and lucky draw. The tiny tots 2-4 years age group, enjoyed their game of picking the color ball and passing the ball, while the bigger children 4-8 years age group, played frog race and cone race, 8-12 years children played ice cone race and back ball throw, while 12 and teenager played bow & arrow and lemon on the spoon.

Ladies participated in blow and blast the balloon, save your tail, ladies jodi ook part in filling the water bottle. Ladies group played fun game, stepping on the cardboard and tunnel ball race and participated in throwball and tug of war.

Men participated in shot put, head spin race, gents jodi participated 3-leg race. Gentsgroup played volleyball and tug of war.

The couples played and enjoyed the water balloon throw game. Spot questions were asked and crowd responded wisely. The crowd tried their luck in the game of housie-housie and it was a real treat to watch the traditional coconut breaking game throughout the day.

Committee briefed the gathering about BSK’s participation in scholarship programme in coordination with Guru Charitable Trust, its intention to continue and urged everyone to contribute for the noble cause.

Media team Manoj Kumar, Chitrek Bangera, Sandeep Kumar Attavar, Santosh Kotian and Lohith Poojary handled he photography & Videography.

Hussain Bawa, manager of M/s Sangeetha Restaurant arranged the tasty lunch.

We would like to thank Gokul Das for sponsoring transportation facility, Chitrek Bangera for sponsoring prizes for kids category and M/s Sri Annapoorna Veggie Restaurant.

Transportation was well coordinated by Sukumar Karkera and Sudesh Garodi. The unity of the committee members and active participation of the BSK members that eventually led to the success of the family picnic. Yet another memorable event was concluded on a very happy note with prize distributionsto the winners.

BSK management thanked sports secretary Sandesh Amin & his team, all the sponsors, supporters and wholehearted support of all the committee members, who toiled day and night in making the event successful.
