Sullia: Security Lapse - KVG College Murder Case Accused Not Presented Before Court

Sullia, Jun 25: Sharan, one of the accused in the murder of KVJ Medical College administration officer Ramakrishna was not presented at Sullia court on Friday June 24.

The police informed that the accused was imprisoned at Bijapur sub-jail and was not brought to court because there were not enough constables to escort him. Main accused in the case Dr Renuka Prasad was also not presented following health issues.

Three other accused Bhavanishankar, Manoj Rai and Nagesh were presented and remanded to 15-day judicial custody.

Sharan was shifted to Bijapur sub-jail after he was found in possession of drugs during inspection while in district sub-jail and following his alleged involvement in assaulting Rashid Malabari in the sub-jail when Malabari visited the city to be presented before the court.
