Hyderabad, Jun 26: Andhra police have claimed that there has been a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation of the Rs 35.5 lac seized at Andhra - Karnataka border recently.

On Saturday June 25, police quized Ratnakar, nephew of the late spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba, and it is reliably learnt that Ratnakar disclosed to the police that the cash belonged to 11 different people, and was not black money. An income tax official was also present during the interrogation.

Later on Sunday, police told the media that V Srinivasan, who is also one of the trustees, and Harishchandra Shetty, driver of cash-laden vehicle and close aide of Srinivasan, will be quizzed on Monday.

"The investigation has progressed. As part of the probe, police will question Sathya Sai Central Trust member V Srinivasan tomorrow," Anantapur District Superintendent of Police Shah Nawaz Qasim told reporters here.

"After questioning Srinivasan we will focus on other things and will look to completing the investigation," the SP said.
