Udupi: MSAP-MAHE, Manipal hosts college fest 'Avant 2023'

Udupi, Mar 31: The Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP) recently hosted their annual college fest, 'Avant', organized by the department of design. The event showcased the creative stage and setting design done by the interior design students while the fashion design students displayed their thesis work through stunning ramp walks.

The event was a debut for the new campus of MSAP, and was attended by numerous dignitaries and officials from MAHE.

The chief guest for the event was Dr Giridhar P Kini, who praised the efforts of the MSAP team in organizing such a successful event. The guest of honour, Bhargavi Vikyathi, a renowned designer and celebrity stylist, spoke about the importance of education in the field of design.

Director Dr Nandineni Rama Devi welcomed the guests and audience, and explained the theme of the event – Corolla and the students’ dedicated involvement and contribution towards it.

Joint director Dr Pradeep G Kini graced the stage alongside Dr Veena Rao, the co-ordinator of department of design, the chief guest and the guest of honour. The event was a grand success, with the audience learning about the importance of the concept behind any design, regardless of the field it belongs to. The event highlighted the hard work and creativity of the students, and served as an excellent platform for them to showcase their talents.

The MSAP team deserves commendation for putting together such an impressive event, which not only showcased the talent of their students, but also provided a valuable learning opportunity for the audience. With Avant, MSAP has set the bar high for future college fests, and we look forward further to enhance the memorable experiences.
