New Delhi, Jun 27: Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi visited the 14-year -ld victim undergoing treatment at AIIMS after being stabbed in the eyes for resisting a repe attempt by two youths.
Rahul on Monday Jun 27 at 10.45 am spoke to the girl and her parents. He inquired about her status with the doctor at Rajendra Prasad Eye Centre in AIIMS.
His visit came in accordance with the congress' protest agaist Mayawati government fo the alleges spur of crime in the state.
The victim was allegedly kisnapped from her home in Ghurpurwa village in Kannauj district on June 19 and was stabbed as she resisted reape attempt by two persons, Dilip and Niranjan Yadav.
And was later found in fields and taken to the district hospital.
Sources said Rahul wanted to know from the doctors whether the girl would be able to gain her sight. Reportedly doctors said thet recovery is possible in only one eye.
