Udupi, Apr 8: Dr TMA Pai Polytechnic Manipal signed a MoU with Devu Tools Pvt Ltd Mumbai. Students and faculty of mechanical & mechatronic engineering department, HoDs of all the other departments witnessed this notable ceremony held in Dr TMA Pai Polytechnic Manipal.
Speaking on the occasion, Devaraya Manjunath Sheregar of Devu Tools Pvt Ltd Mumbai said, “Time is the most precious commodity anyone has. It is important to use it effectively and efficiently. This can be done by dedicating hard work and being organized. These two things go hand in hand and help one another." He said that his company is happy to partner with the college and that the MoU will help in the overall development of the students.
The vice principal of the college and the HOD of mechanical & mechatronics department, Derick Mascarenhas, expressed his happiness on the signing of the MoU and said that it will be a boon for the students of the college. The MoU was signed with the aim of providing better training and placement opportunities to the students of the mechanical engineering department. The MoU will also help the students to get better industry exposure and to learn the latest technologies in the field of mechanical engineering.
Dr Somashekar Bhat, Joint Director of MIT Manipal, congratulated the college on the signing of the MoU and said, "It is important in today’s era that we produce competent and skilled diploma holders so that they are able to meet the ever changing demands of the industry."
Dr S Pabla, chairman of skill development center, also congratulated the college and said that the MoU will help in the overall development of the students.
Principal T Narendra Pai felicitated Devaraya Manjunath and appreciated his support.
Vishak, a final year student, led the invocation. Siji K Sathyan, lecturer introduced the chief guest. Faculty members Aparna Nayak compered the programme. Kishan Sadashiv proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
