Japan, Apr 11: Hridayavahini Karnataka and Manjunath Education trust hosted 37th international cultural fest at Crane Banquet hall, Narita, Tokyo on Friday, April 7.
Vijapur based Dr Nagoor education trust managing trustee and India master athletics federation president Dr K B Nagoor inaugurated the event.
Dr Malaya Shantamuni Shivacharya Swamiji of Gavimath, Shivaganga blessed the occasion.
ICFC India president engineer K P Manjunath Sagar said that the organizations have held cultural fests on national and international level for the last twenty years. They have held more than 53 fests and conferences in 40 countries since the year 2004, he said.

Director of the department of public library Dr Sathish Kumar Hosamani said that Karnataka has the highest number of members in digital libraries on an international level. He requested Kannadigas in Japan to register their names and obtain free services.
Non resident Indian Ravi Ramakrishna said that Japan has the reputation in the world as Japanese are disciplined and hard working.
Japan national institute research scientist Manu Mallahalli, Mysure based retired professor R N Jagadish, Swamy enterprises managing director Go Na Swamy and Bengaluru based Micron Electricals project director Dr V Nagaraju were on the dais as guests of honour. Special achievers in various sectors Shankare Gowda Mysure, Dr V Nagaraj Bengaluru, Dr Sathish Kumar Hosamani, Prabha Suvarna Mumbai and Krishna B Shetty Mumbai were felicitated with Cherry Blossom 2023 awards.
A poet’s conference was presided over by Dr Ashok Narode. Poets M P Varsha Mysure, Govinda Rao Murthy and Prabha Suvarna read their poems. Hubballi based Siri Kini, Dr Meghana and Disha Nayak performed dances. Go Na Swamy, Shiva Pandeshwar and Manu Mangaluru sang janapada songs.
