Thiruvanathapuram, Jul 2: An all party meet at Thiruvanathapuram on Monday July 4 has been called by the chief minister Oomen Chandy to discuss issues relating to self-financing professional education sector in the state.
Speaking to media persons after inaugurating a new campus of National University of Advanced Legal Sciences Kalamassery here, Chandy said that the government was ready to hold talks with the stake holders to find an amicable solution to the problem at hand.
The inter-church council has decided not to accept the fee structure proposed by the fee regulatory committee for professional colleges in its affiliated medical colleges. The chief minister has condemned the stance taken by the committee.
Social justice has to be kept in mind while admitting students to colleges for professional cources, he said.
