Tamil Nadu, Jul 4: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Sunday July 3 again reshuffled the cabinet by removing Esakki Subaya, the Minister of Law, Courts and Prisons and adding a new member P Chendur Pandian. The portfolios of few ministers who had recently taken charge were also altered.
The new member will be sworn in on Monday July 4. This comes as a surprise as the cabinet was recently shuffled on June 27.
The department handled by Subaya had been given over the information minister G Senthamizhan. The task of reshuffling the portfolios among the ministers, the Khadi and Village Industries department has been entrusted on Pandhian.
Both the ministers are influential leaders from Tirunelveli district who had defeated strong DMK and Congress candidates.
