Many elements from across the border in Pakistan funded and armed him. He was also supported by Lashkar e Taiba and SIMI in India. Atiq Ahmed himself said this.

As long as court cases hang on years and years this is the only alternative. Ideally there should be three hearings per case. The first one where both parties give written submissions, the second when there is cross examination of both sides and one for a single adjournment. Then an expartitie judgment should be given, no more extensions and adjournment.

Clearly a planned murder, how else can some criminals/history sheeters get so close to undertrials in the presence of the police, the police knew they were coming and it is a state sponsored murder.

Wants to totally blame on Dawood Ibrahim who spreaded his activities qto other stares and given protection to such mafia lords. Now Dawood retired and now taken over by his brother and his son. By any chance if any of Kaskar family apprehended by India's intelligence wing same fate is going to happen as of Atif/Ashraaf. India is changing according to time.

Who is going to gain by killing Atique? Definitely, not BJP. It is a set of politicians (SP / BSP) who have used Atique as a pawn all along are responsible for this killing, as they fear that Atique may spill the beans. Jai Shri Ram chant after killing seems to stage managed to divert attention. But even Yogi needs to blamed as to the way the Police has taken these people to hospital, as Atique was a prize-catch and his questioning would have revealed the true colours of many politicians. Police should not have paraded them like this. Even our judiciary needs to be blamed as it is said that there are 500+ cases against Atique dating from 1993..... Last month the ex-DGP of UP made a statement that he would have finished Atique's terror network 30 years back, had there been no political interference..... Looking at the whole scenario, it is tax payer's money saved by this incident, but then the bigger fear is what will happen if 'an eye for an eye' culture becomes the order of the day with judiciary / police becoming mute spectators and politicians (all parties) making a mockery of the democracy.
