Patna, Jul 6: The 15th foundation day of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the absense of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi ended up in what seemed to be a rather dull ceremony here on Tuesday July 5.
It was very evident that the RJD leaders were not prepared to lash out at the opponents at the event. Speakers' move to attack Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'Sushasan' seemed to miss its mark.
The crowd that had gathered was a small one though it included a number of senior party leaders, Raghunath Jha, Prabhunath Singh, Kanti Singh, Sitaram Singh, oppsition party leader in the state assembly Abdul Bari Siddiqui among others were present.
Addressing the gathering, Siddiqui without any statistics to prove his charges alleged that Nitish had misused the state exchequer.
He further added that the minister's expenses if revealed under Right to Information will not be less than the Prime Minister's expenses.
Siddiqui ridiculed the chief minister's demand for special status to Bihar saying that the committee formed by the state government to shepherd the cause had not convened a single meeting in the last two years since its formation.
